TERMS OF SERVICE
Guidelines for using Proudly Served’s website, briefings, newsletter, and resource directories.
Last updated: September 27, 2026
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern use of the website and online content provided by Proudly Served, LLC (“Proudly Served,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including the Get the Brief newsletter. By using the services, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please discontinue use. These terms do not replace terms that apply to purchases or services supplied by independent providers.
2. Information and independent analysis
Our briefings, reports, and directories are provided for general information, education, and commentary. Reporting can change as new information becomes available. Statements attributed to a third party are that party’s claims; analysis, forecasts, and opinions should not be treated as established facts or guarantees.
Content is not legal, financial, medical, mental-health, benefits-eligibility, or other professional advice. Verify important information with original sources and qualified professionals before making decisions. Resource listings do not guarantee eligibility, availability, results, or provider quality. Proudly Served is an independent organization; use of military names, insignia, or public-source materials does not imply government or military endorsement.
3. Emergencies and crisis support
This website, newsletter, and Office email are not emergency services and are not monitored continuously. In an immediate emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number. In the United States, Veterans and those concerned about them can reach the Veterans Crisis Line by dialing 988 and pressing 1, or texting 838255. Visit the Veterans Crisis Line for official support information.
4. Permitted use and intellectual property
Unless otherwise identified, original Proudly Served text, graphics, branding, and other materials are owned by or licensed to Proudly Served and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party content and marks remain the property of their respective owners.
You may access the site for personal, noncommercial use, share links to our pages, and make uses otherwise permitted by law, including fair use. Do not remove ownership notices, falsely imply endorsement, or republish substantial portions of our original content commercially without permission. For reuse requests, contact office@proudlyserved.com.
5. Acceptable conduct
Do not use the services for unlawful activity, impersonation, harassment, spam, infringement, or unauthorized collection of personal information. Do not introduce malicious code, interfere with service availability, attempt unauthorized access, or bypass access controls. Access may be restricted where reasonably necessary to address abuse, security concerns, or legal requirements.
6. Newsletter and communications
Newsletter subscription is voluntary and subject to confirmation through the signup process. You may unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter. Delivery timing, frequency, format, and availability may change. Our Privacy Policy explains information handling related to subscriptions and messages.
You are responsible for ensuring that information or attachments you submit may lawfully be shared. Do not send confidential or sensitive records through general email. Sending a question or correction request does not create a professional advisory relationship. We may review and use feedback to investigate an issue and improve the services, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
7. External links, video, and purchases
We link to and embed services operated by others, including YouTube, social networks, retailers, and veteran-resource providers. We do not control their content, availability, policies, or transactions. A link or listing is not a warranty or an endorsement of every statement or service offered by its operator.
Purchases reached through our shop links are completed with the identified retailer or seller. That provider’s terms govern payment, fulfillment, shipping, returns, refunds, and product support. Consult the product listing and seller’s policies before purchasing. Any applicable sponsorship or affiliate relationship should be identified with the relevant content or link; these terms do not replace such disclosures.
8. Availability and disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. We do not warrant that content is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular decision, or that access will be uninterrupted or free of harmful components.
These statements do not exclude warranties or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our approach to sourcing and corrections is described in the Editorial Standards and Corrections pages.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Proudly Served, LLC and its personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data, arising from use of or inability to use the services, reliance on content, or interactions with independent providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including nonwaivable consumer rights.
10. Changes, interpretation, and contact
We may update the services and these terms. The date above identifies the current version; additional notice will be provided where required. Changes apply prospectively to the extent permitted by law. If a provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent allowed by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
If you have a concern, please contact us with the relevant page or newsletter and a clear description so we can try to address it. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive any nonwaivable right to bring a complaint or seek a legal remedy.
