YOUR QUESTIONS, EXPLAINED
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What sources does Proudly Served use?
Official and primary sources remain our verification standard. Reuters and AP provide independent reporting. Organizations such as ISW, Janes, and CSIS provide attributed analytical context. Each brief lists only the sources actually reviewed and used for that edition. Explore the source directory for the full framework.
Does an official statement mean an event is confirmed?
No. An official source establishes who made a statement, not necessarily whether every detail is independently verified. CENTCOM operational statements are labeled OFFICIAL CLAIM unless independently corroborated. Official Houthi statements are also identified specifically as claims.
How are OSINT and commentary treated?
Open-source intelligence (OSINT) tools, public imagery, tracking data, and crowdsourced reports can help identify developments. They are treated as leads until corroborated. Monitored commentary channels are labeled as commentary and are never presented as authoritative evidence.
How do I interpret the map colors and regional priorities?
Use the legend and regional explanation in the Global Situation Room alongside the edition date and supporting sources. Read the explanation for a region rather than drawing conclusions from its color alone. The written brief provides context behind the map.
Where can I find earlier briefs and videos?
Visit the Briefing & Video Archive to choose an edition by title, date, or region. Historical editions reflect information available when they were published. The Situation Room also provides a brief archive for its written editions.
How do I report an error or ask for clarification?
Use our corrections page or email office@proudlyserved.com. Include the page or video link, the relevant passage or timestamp, and supporting sources so the issue can be reviewed.
