PRIVACY POLICY
How information is handled when you visit our website, subscribe to Get the Brief, or contact our team.
Last updated: September 27, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Proudly Served, LLC (“Proudly Served,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website and the Get the Brief newsletter. This policy explains information handling in connection with those services, including the Proudly Served website. It does not govern independent websites or services reached through our links.
2. Information you provide
When you sign up for the newsletter, the form requests your email address and first name. Subscription records can include your confirmation and subscription status. When you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any information or attachments you choose to provide. Please do not send passwords, Social Security numbers, medical records, or other sensitive records through general email.
3. Technical information and cookies
Our website, hosting services, and embedded providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser and device details, pages requested, timestamps, and referral information to deliver content, maintain security, and diagnose problems. WordPress uses cookies for features such as signed-in sessions and saved preferences.
Embedded content and newsletter tools may also use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser and the controls offered by the relevant provider. Blocking them may affect forms or video playback. Browser cookie settings do not unsubscribe you from email.
4. Newsletter subscriptions
We use MailerLite to manage newsletter forms, subscriptions, and email delivery. The signup process asks you to confirm your email address. MailerLite processes subscriber information on our behalf and may process delivery, opening, and link-click activity, depending on the settings used for an email. Such activity can be affected by email privacy features and is not always an accurate indication that a person read a message.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or contact office@proudlyserved.com for help. An unsubscribe request stops newsletter delivery; limited subscription or suppression records may remain to honor your choice and document it. See MailerLite’s Privacy Policy for its practices.
5. How information is used and disclosed
Information is used to provide the website and requested newsletter, respond to questions and correction requests, maintain the services, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Service providers involved in hosting, email delivery, security, and technical support may process information needed for those functions.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law or valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of users, Proudly Served, or others. If the business is reorganized or transferred, relevant records may be transferred subject to applicable law and appropriate notice.
6. Videos and external services
Our pages embed YouTube videos. Loading or interacting with an embed can send technical information to Google/YouTube and may involve cookies or activity associated with your account. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
Links to Amazon, Linktree, social networks, veteran-resource providers, and other outside sites lead to services with their own policies. Purchases made on an outside retailer’s website are handled by that retailer under its privacy and transaction terms. Review those policies before sharing information or making a purchase.
7. Retention and security
Information is retained according to its purpose, operational needs, provider settings, and applicable legal obligations. Newsletter records may be kept while a subscription is active and as needed to maintain opt-out records. Correspondence may be retained to respond to an inquiry and maintain an appropriate business record.
No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use care when deciding what to send us. Service providers may process information in the United States or other countries where they operate, subject to applicable requirements.
8. Your choices and requests
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Send requests to office@proudlyserved.com. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the request. Some records may need to be retained for legal, security, or opt-out purposes. Where applicable, you may also contact your local data-protection authority.
9. Children’s privacy
The website and newsletter are intended for a general adult audience and are not directed to children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review the circumstances and address the record appropriately.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy as services or practices change. The updated date identifies the latest version. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
